Freshly synced transactions get categorized faster, and search finally knows the difference between a bank filter and a word in the description.

After sync, Martia categorizes new transactions in the background, filters bank-specific searches more precisely, and lets you drill into income from charts.

What was frustrating right after a bank sync?

The freshest transactions are usually the ones you want to inspect first. The problem was that right after a successful sync, some of them could sit without a useful category for a while, which meant charts and spending views needed extra time before they looked trustworthy.

The second issue was subtler: search could confuse a bank with plain text in the transaction description. If you asked for transactions from ING or Revolut, results could get too broad because a real bank filter was mixed with ordinary word matching.

How does it work now in practice?

After sync finishes, Martia now queues the newly imported transactions and categorizes them in the background for that specific sync run instead of leaving everything for a later pass. The result is straightforward: meaningful categories show up faster where they matter most, in your newest operations and incoming payments.

We also tightened the drilldown flow. Search now understands bank-specific prompts more precisely, and clicking an income source in the chart opens the pane with exactly the transactions behind that bar instead of a broad month-wide list.
